Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have completed Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Final-year students can apply but must provide proof of graduation before 31st December 2024.
- Age Limit (as on 01-04-2024):
- Minimum: 20 years
- Maximum: 28 years
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disability):
- General/EWS: 10 years
- OBC: 13 years
- SC/ST: 15 years
- Ex-Servicemen: Actual period of service + 3 years (up to 50 years max).
- Widows/Divorced Women: 7 years (up to 35 years for General, 38 for OBC, and 40 for SC/ST).
Selection Process
The SBI Clerk recruitment involves three main stages:
1. Preliminary Examination
The Prelims is an online objective test conducted for 100 marks. It consists of three sections:

2. Main Examination

- Note:
- Negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- No sectional cutoff, but candidates must secure the overall cutoff marks to qualify.
3. Language Proficiency Test (LPT)
Candidates who qualify in the Mains examination will have to appear for the Language Proficiency Test. This test assesses candidates’ ability to read, write, and speak in the specified local language of the State/UT for which they have applied.
Exemption:
- Candidates who studied the specified local language in 10th or 12th standard are exempted from the LPT.
Salary and Benefits
- Starting Pay: ₹26,730 per month (Basic Pay).
- Gross Salary: Around ₹46,000 per month (including allowances like DA, HRA, etc.).
- Additional Benefits: Medical benefits, Provident Fund, Pension Scheme, and Leave Travel Concessions (LTC).
